Electronic books viewed on the iPad or Kindle take longer to read compared with printed texts, according to a study from the Nielsen Norman Group. The study found that reading slows by 6.2% on the iPad and 10.7% on the Kindle, although comprehension remained the same. The 24 participants in the usability study also reported feeling more relaxed when reading traditional texts.
