Temporary staffing can be the best option for businesses that don't need full-time help on a permanent basis, writes Gladys Edmunds. She counsels a business owner who does landscaping and snow removal and who complains that hiring workers for short periods of time increases his unemployment rates and hurts his company image. She cautions that the business may pay a little more for temp workers and recommends contacting a lawyer to check on regulations.
