BASF has unveiled two products intended for grapes, citrus, pome fruit and tree nuts, and it expects product registrations in California during the summer or fall. The Vivando-brand offering is a fungicide that prevents powdery mildew in grapes, while the herbicide Treevix is made for broadleaf applications. Treevix is the latest BASF product that utilizes Kixor technology in herbicides, while Vivando has an active ingredient called metrafenone, which uses the benzphenone chemical class, a BASF representative said.
