A new private therapy center in Canada is offering a fee-based alternative for families of children with autism and other special needs who may face long waiting lists for publicly funded services. Blueballoon offers occupational, behavioral and music therapies, among others, for children with special needs, including Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and autism. An estimated 1,300 children are on the waiting list for similar services from a public agency.
