CTIA-The Wireless Association® said a recent Government Accountability Office report shines a positive light on the state of competition among wireless carriers. "[T]oday's GAO report confirms what we've been saying for a long time," CTIA President and CEO Steve Largent said in a statement. The GAO, Congress' accounting arm, said that four carriers make up 90% of the market and that, despite industry consolidation, prices have been halved and coverage improved since 1999.
