Some law schools say they are seeing increased demand for summer associates, a possible sign that the job market for law graduates could finally be improving. The new demand probably won't take openings back to prerecession levels, but it does suggest the job market has hit bottom and is beginning to rebound, experts note. "Most firms have scaled back as far as they could, so it makes sense to me that we would see some growth," said James Leipold, executive director of the National Association for Law Placement.
