A recent survey by research firm eMarketer found that just over a third of marketers are using blogs to get their message out, and that share is expected to rise to 43% by 2012. These percentages don't include the use of social networks such as Twitter and Facebook. "Companies are finding that blogs fill a specific niche that other forms of social media do not," said Paul Verna, a senior analyst with eMarketer.
