Mexicana Airlines' problems, including bankruptcy and the subsequent grounding of its planes, might be a sign of what's to come for aircraft-leasing companies, said Michael Boyd, president of Boyd Group International. "The real deal is that lessors are stuck with airplanes on the ground, in an airline industry that is not -- repeat, not -- expanding," Boyd wrote. Swiss bank UBS said it does not expect Mexicana to resume operation.
