Days after agreeing to buy Motorola's telecom-equipment unit, Nokia Siemens Networks is reportedly talking to several venture capital firms about investing up to $1 billion in the vendor in return for up to a one-third stake in the company, according to The Wall Street Journal, which also notes that NSN has not received any formal offers. NSN's decision to pay $1.2 billion for the Motorola unit was supposedly aimed at attracting backers.
