Legal-themed charter schools are helping struggling students develop critical-thinking skills and are sending graduates on to college at impressive rates. The new breed of schools could help make the legal field more diverse, officials say. "There is a need here to create individuals who know about the law and business, but also understand the ethics that go along with that. The idea is to get them early, make an impression, and send them on a lifelong journey," says one school's director.
