A Connecticut school district is considering participating in a study on tracking students and staff using radio frequency strips. The strips would be placed on identification cards or technology devices, such as school laptops. The study is being conducted by SecureRF, which hopes to partner with a high school to study whether the technology can be used effectively in schools. Supporters say it could help track students during emergencies as well as aid security efforts and track bus usage.
