Media buying conglomerate Starcom MediaVest Group signed a deal with BermanBraun, a Web content firm headed by entertainment executives Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun, that could be worth more than $100 million over its four-year term. The deal calls for the Publicis-owned media company to get a "first-look" at sites and content generated by BermanBraun for its clients -- which include Procter & Gamble, Wal-Mart and Coca-Cola. "Our clients are rightfully demanding a more robust pipeline of digital programming options beyond what exists. It is essential for us to help curate and create the content that will fill this gap," said Starcom chief executive Laura Desmond.
