The tropical sod webworm has been wreaking havoc in South Florida, attacking turf around Naples, writes Doug Caldwell. The increase in TSW activity is being attributed to the cold winter that killed off predators that eat the insect or a natural life cycle that has peaks in population. Grass should be kept at 1.5 to 2.5 inches to keep the landscape healthy.
