The Coyote Ridge Corrections Center in Connell, Wash., has been confirmed as America's greenest prison and won a LEED-Gold ranking from the U.S. Green Building Council. The 21-building site used natural light and solar arrays to slash $370,000 off its annual electricity bill and also implemented water-saving features to reduce its consumption by 5.5 million gallons.
