Elizabeth Warren, chairwoman of the Congressional Oversight Panel and the lead candidate to head the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, met with White House officials Thursday. A spokeswoman for President Barack Obama said a decision has not been made and is not imminent, but speculation continues to mount that Warren will be tapped for the post. Obama likely will risk upsetting liberal supporters if he doesn't choose Warren, but doing so might worsen relations with the financial community.
