The California High-Speed Rail Authority has chosen a route for its planned bullet train. Trains will run over existing Caltrain tracks between San Francisco and San Jose, and through the Pacheco Pass to the Central Valley. Authority board members also certified a final environmental review for the multibillion-dollar project. Meanwhile, some California municipalities are retracting their support of the project; Palo Alto's City Council declared a resolution of "no confidence" in the plans.
