The retailer will also offer bundled deals for tailgating, including $2.58 off fried chicken, Sabra Hummus and Stacy's Pita Chips.
President Barack Obama signed a bill Monday that will create a $30 billion fund aimed at making it easier for small businesses to obtain credit. The bill, called the Small Business Jobs Act, also includes billions in small-business tax cuts during the next 12 months.
Giant Food Stores and Martin's Food Markets have established Passport to Nutrition, a website with interactive lessons for children on nutrition and fitness. The site also provides tools for parents and teachers.
Ben & Jerry's said it will phase out the "all natural" label on its ice cream and frozen yogurt, but will not change its recipes. The move comes after the Center for Science in the Public Interest told parent company Unilever that the ice cream company should not use the label on products that contain alkalized cocoa, corn syrup, hydrogenated oil or other ingredients.
Tops Friendly Markets has agreed to sell seven stores in New York and Pennsylvania to resolve antitrust claims stemming from its January acquisition of 79 Penn Traffic stores. The company already has sold or closed 24 of the purchased stores, and the agreement gives it three months to sell the seven more.
