EnCana said its natural gas drilling in Wyoming should not be blamed for the contamination of some of the state's water wells. The Environmental Protection Agency ran tests on 17 private wells in Pavillion, Wyo., and found minimal levels of petroleum hydrocarbons and inorganic substances. But those are not associated with EnCana's operations, said Doug Hock, a spokesman for the company.
