Halliburton has been awarded a spot as a "world leader" on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, meaning its sustainable business practices put it in the top 10% of companies in its sector. That's surprising enough, writes RP Siegel, but the real shocker lies in the fact that Halliburton is being honored to fill the gap left when BP was struck from the Dow's green-leaders list in the aftermath of the Gulf oil spill.
