Three congressional Democrats are questioning Fannie Mae about foreclosure cases the government-backed mortgage giant has entrusted to Florida law firms that face accusations about backdating or fabricating court documents. The law firms quickly work through foreclosure lawsuits. "In other words, Fannie Mae seems to specifically delegate its foreclosure avoidance obligations out to lawyers who specialize in kicking people out of their homes," lawmakers wrote in a letter to Fannie Mae's CEO.
