Medical-alert bracelets can inform health care workers of a patient's condition, prescriptions or allergies during an emergency, and newer models can even direct emergency responders to a secure website or toll-free phone number with the patient's complete medical history. Other options include carrying a USB flash drive or a subscription to the online Invisible Bracelet program, which both eliminate the need to wear accessories while allowing health workers access to patients' medical information.
