A bill introduced Monday in the Senate aims to ban the creation, marketing and sale of "crush" videos or films that depict small animals being tortured to death. The measure, called the Animal Crush Video Prohibition Act, comes in response to a recent Supreme Court ruling that overturned a broader animal-cruelty law. The measure would carry penalties of up to seven years in jail.
