A school district in New Jersey is asking elementary-school teachers to compensate for the end of once-a-week Spanish-language instruction by including Spanish-language activities and cultural lessons within their lessons. Jessica Anspach, curriculum director for the Wyckoff School District, says that under the new plan, children will "actually receive more instruction" than they did before.
