Within a few days, the TSA will adopt a policy that will make it easier for foreign pilots to take recurrent training in the U.S. The current policy requires foreign pilots with type ratings in large aircraft to undergo a vetting process for U.S. training, and pilots with dual ratings must go through the process at least twice a year. The new policy will require foreign pilots to submit to the process, which involves filling out English-language forms online, only once a year.
