Students at four high schools in the Boston area will have access to high-tech equipment for their science labs, thanks to a pilot lending program at Tufts University. Undergraduate students from the university are helping to train teachers to use such equipment as DNA amplifiers, which allow students to conduct more open-ended experiments. "We'll be able to do today's science in the classroom, not just the science of 10 years ago," one educator said.
