German chemical major BASF has selected Hans-Ulrich Engel to take over the company's chief financial officer post after as his predecessor, Kurt Bock, becomes the company's CEO next year. Engel, the head of BASF units including oil and natural gas for Europe and construction chemicals, will become CFO on May 6, after the company's annual meeting. The firm also selected Margret Suckale and Michael Heinz to assume board roles May 6.
