Boeing said it earned $837 million in the third quarter, helped by increased volume in commercial jetliners. With earnings of $1.12 per share in the quarter, Boeing raised its full-year guidance to between $3.80 and $4 per share. "Our results and revised outlook reflect the continued strong performance of our commercial production and services programs and the ability of our defense businesses to produce solid results in a challenging environment," CEO Jim McNerney noted.
