Columnist John Frenaye argues that travel agents should shift to a true retail model that allows them to buy travel product at net, add their value and then mark it up for sale. Frenaye acknowledges that it requires a different mindset among agents, but writes that when agents bring value into the market, clients will follow. "Bring value to their experience and you have a repeat customer," Frenaye writes.
