The Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority East is considering hiring a consultant to review the computer modeling used by the Army Corps of Engineers in designing the remediation work for New Orleans' hurricane-levee system. The review is being proposed by Stradford Goins, an engineer who used to be part of the authority. An Army Corps official defended the Corps' work, saying the Corps has been transparent about its work "because we all need to be speaking with the same voice."
