A plan to release New York City's teacher-effectiveness scores to the media has been put on hold for at least a few weeks while the battle plays out in court, officials said Thursday. The disclosure of the data was stalled after the United Federation of Teachers filed a court petition to block the release of the ratings, which are partially based on students' test scores. Value-added data was released on Los Angeles teachers in August.
