Franchise Brands submitted the winning bid in a bankruptcy court auction and will acquire the 200-store Seattle-based Taco Del Mar chain for $3.25 million. Franchise Brands, a Connecticut-based restaurant company formed five years ago with support from Subway, also operates Mama de Luca's Pizza Now, as well as a fitness-training company and a company that buys and rehabs older homes.
