Only 16% of social media users say platforms such as Facebook and Twitter are trustworthy compared with other media outlets such as online news, television and blogs, according to a Vision Critical survey. Paul Verna says bad publicity surrounding Facebook's privacy settings [or lack thereof] could be partially to blame. So how can small businesses gain the trust of users on social media? Experts suggest responding quickly to all queries and being completely transparent about who is posting to your social media accounts.
