Bank of America has assigned its chief auditor, Paul Morrison, to manage risk at its home-loan unit, which is the focus of investors' demands for the bank to buy back sour mortgages. Morrison has been the bank's general corporate auditor for the past decade. "We are aligning talent and resources to address one of our most critical business issues," said Bruce Thompson, chief risk officer.
