Experts have argued for years over whether MBA degrees make executives more or less ethical in their business dealings. A study of more than four-fifths of Standard & Poor's 500 firms found that companies helmed by MBA-holders tended to behave slightly better across a range of ethical and environmental measures. "That's quite a shocker ... business school actually seems to make one more socially aware and responsive," notes Freek Vermeulen.
