The new Congress should rectify mistakes committed by the previous one when it failed to enforce policy that would boost the manufacturing sector, writes John Engler, president and CEO of the National Association of Manufacturers. The trade group challenges lawmakers to promote growth of the manufacturing industry by creating regulations based on NAM's "Manufacturing Strategy for Jobs and a Competitive America," a plan of action that legislators should follow to enhance the manufacturing sector and ensure its strength in the international market.
