Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., walked out of his own hearing in front of the House ethics committee Monday after protesting that he could not afford to pay a lawyer to represent him. The hearing, which continued without Rangel present, ended with the committee ruling that there was adequate evidence to support 13 counts of misconduct in Rangel's financial dealings. The committee is considering formal censure or punishment.
