James R. Blocki, a former marketing executive at Kraft Foods and the chairman of the AAF from 1987 to 1988, died Thursday. He was 85. Blocki during his four decades at Kraft was responsible for Parkay Margarine, Kraft Mayonnaise, Philadelphia Cream Cheese and its jellies line, among other brands, and also led Kraft's push into sponsoring TV specials, notably the Country Music Association Awards.
