Kingfisher, the do-it-yourself retail group, said a decline in UK sales was offset by a strong performance at the company's international operations. Kingfisher recorded an 8.2% increase in third-quarter profits, with 80% being generated overseas. "We are well prepared to trade effectively in these challenging times and we continue to lay solid foundations for sales and profit growth in the future," said CEO Ian Cheshire.
