Shasun Pharmaceuticals of India has teamed up with two scientists at the University of Missouri to create Shasun Nanoparticle Biochem, which will focus on developing a prostate cancer drug derived from gold nanoparticles. The researchers have been testing the treatment for late-stage prostate cancer in mice for more than five years. Shasun's initial investment of $1.5 million will support the drug's clinical development.
