The Transportation Security Administration recently answered questions about the current passenger screening process in a Q-and-A with Karen Rubin. In the interview, the TSA said it is currently using a behavior detection program to identify high-risk travelers. The TSA noted that behavior detection officers "add an element of unpredictability to the security screening process that is easy for passengers to navigate but difficult for terrorists to manipulate." The TSA said it has also established a program for screening travelers with disabilities "in a respectful manner, using very specific techniques." When developing the program, the TSA sought input from groups that represent disabled individuals.
