Qualitest Pharmaceuticals has launched a voluntary recall of medications labeled as the common anti-convulsant drug phenobarbital that actually contain acetaminophen and hydrocodone. People and animals taking the mislabeled drugs run the risk of adverse side effects that can include respiratory and central-nervous system depression, as well as possible breakthrough seizures resulting from missing doses of phenobarbital.
