Digital games are being used by more schools and educators to engage students and improve their academic and technological skills. Funding from the National Science Foundation was used to develop "CSI: Web Adventures," which teaches students about forensic science, while the digital game "Crystal Island" is aimed at engaging students in scientific inquiry. Educators say the games can introduce students to contexts they might not otherwise be exposed to and can offer instant feedback on the effect of technology on learning.
