A new public high school in Texas will combine one-to-one computing and other technology initiatives with project-based learning and small class sizes. "They'll be taught differently through a project-based learning process that finds students working collaboratively as teams to tackle real-life projects and solve conflicts together," Principal Stan Whittle said. The school, part of the national New Tech Network, also will use a Web-based collaborative learning platform for communication among parents, teachers and students.
