Landscape designer Mike Eagleton has added a touch of spring at the 16th Street Mall in Denver with pansies. The sudden changes in the weather have often challenged Eagleton's mall garden design, but he is able to keep it beautiful by using plants that adapt well to the temperature. In the summer, he plans to replace the frost-tolerant pansies with blue or indigo flowers that can handle warm temperatures.
