Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., has latched onto a recent case involving a Transportation Security Administration employee at Buffalo Niagara International Airport. The TSA worker is accused of helping travelers breach security. Schumer wants to turn the situation around and make the airport a test site for security technology, such as a device that scans and cross checks identification. "The machine would scan the passenger's identification," said Schumer. "It cross checks their ticket, criminal databases, the no-fly list, and the customs and border protection database."
