The Department of Agriculture said large eggs have 185 milligrams of cholesterol on average, down 12% from 2002, and 41 international units of vitamin D, a 64% increase. Researchers said the reason might be improved poultry feed. "Positive nutritional news about eggs continues to bolster their image in the eyes of consumers," said Mitch Kanter, executive director of the Egg Nutrition Center.
