Bombardier's net income surged 80% to $318 million in its fiscal fourth quarter, which ended Jan. 31, as the Canadian plane maker saw rising demand for larger jets. In the aerospace unit, sales increased $200 million to $2.9 billion, while the order backlog reached $16.6 billion. "This is mainly due to an order received for the CSeries family of aircraft, offset by a lower order backlog for regional jets, turboprops and business aircraft," Bombardier said.
