BP plans to allocate close to $2 billion this year to clean energy, more than previously indicated, said Katrina Landis, CEO of BP's low-carbon division. The oil giant plans to bolster investment in wind, solar, biofuel and other low-carbon technology. However, the federal government must be clear about its tax policy for clean energy because companies are "not going to invest large amounts of capital without understanding the return [they are] going to get," Landis said.
