The Global Business Travel Association forecast a 7% increase in business-travel spending this year compared with 2010, to $245.8 billion. The group cited an improving economy and rising corporate confidence. "These are very heartening signs," said Executive Director Michael McCormick. "Business-travel spending is coming back at robust levels, indicating the shape of things to come -- namely more travelers on the road, an improving economy and a positive environment for continued job growth."
