Restaurant workers don't always suss out all the scents their guests inhale upon entering the eatery, and all it takes is the aroma of a stale mop or a piece of fruit rotting unseen under a counter to turn off peoples' palates, writes blogger John Foley. Foley suggests some fixes, including having workers check out all the nooks and crannies to weed out potential bad smells and sweeten the air with sauteeing garlic just before the start of the lunch rush.
